A Fight and A Choice

Life is a fight. You fight to stay alive, fight to get your way, fight to be who you want to be, and fight to get where you want to go. It's a constant struggle. You fight with yourself when you don't know what choice to make. You fight with your friends and family when you don't like the advice they give you. You fight with your enemies to prove that you are better than they think. You fight with yourself when you're not who you want to be. You don't get anywhere in life without fighting for it.
And sometimes, life tries to take you down. Sometimes the enemies will see you fail and try to kick you when your down. Sometimes your friends will turn on you. And sometimes you don't feel like fighting, because you don't think it's worth it. But if you don't fight it's over.
Because life is also a choice. You choose to live, and you choose to fight. The choice to live isn't always as literal as deciding not to die. Sometimes the choice to live is deciding to get out of bed in the morning and face the world, no matter how alone you feel. Sometimes it's moving on after losing a close friend or relationship even though the loss still hurts. Sometimes it's quitting that dead end job to finally chase your dreams. Sometimes it's putting up with the dead end job a little longer so that you can pay the bills. Sometimes it's as simple as deciding to be yourself in a crowd that may not accept you and not caring what they think. And it's always a choice to fight.
You have to fight the urge to pull the covers over your head and call in sick. Fight the urge to isolate because right now it feels like nothing can fill the whole that was left. Fight the people saying it's impossible. Fight the urge to quit because you're not ready to take on your dreams. Fight the set pattern that everyone expects you to conform to and be who you really are.
Life is a fight and a choice, fight hard, and choose well.
